Here are tools for determining/adjusting level of text difficulty:
- Lexile Analyzer. This free site allows teachers to calculate Lexile (readability) levels for text samples of up to 1000 words.
- Newsela. This free site contains current news stories. Each story is written to match multiple Lexile levels.
